Our story begins with Terry (the farmer) and Soulaire (the entrepreneur and chef), who had a dream of providing fresh, quality, and humanely treated food to customers by way of a food truck. What better way to get the farm to truck freshness directly into the hands of Minnesotans? By coming to you. With a truckload of moxie and a dash of Minnesota charm, we came together to serve up our family’s chicken favorites. With the help of all of our loved ones, we launched our mobile restaurant dream in the parking lot of Soulaire’s office building in Minnetonka serving the local neighborhood. The rest, as they say, is history. We’re a quirky and fun group, learning all the joys and challenges of working with family in a small space. Everything we serve is made fresh to order, our chicken is hand breaded, our sauces made from scratch, and we pride ourselves on making clucking good comfort food, served with love (and a little rooster attitude if need be!)

FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED.

The truck is run by Soulaire (Chief Mother Clucker), who works alongside the adult children of Terry, while Terry himself holds down the fort back on the farm, tending to his cattle and egg laying hens. Of course there are some friends who have joined the team, but "friends" is really another word for family; and that's what it's all about.

 

It may be called the "Bad Rooster," but it's run by some Bad-Ass Chicks.

BAD ROOSTER.

Ever wondered where the name "Bad Rooster" came from?

While visiting the farm one day, Soulaire realized, while feeding the hens, that the Rooster was shy, and ran away.

"Aren't they supposed to be bad ass or something?" Soulaire asked, then paused and said "Oh my god, Bad Rooster.

That's the name of our truck."
